GUYS. You can sit down in Animal Crossing now! Now when I see my villagers chilling on the ground in the main plaza staring up at the sun, I can join them. That alone makes this update amazing! But that’s not the only thing new in Animal Crossing New Horizons! There was a ton of stuff that happened in the most recent update, which was first announced a couple days ago. In this post today, I will talk about my reaction to the stuff released in today’s update!
Well first and foremost my favorite thing is the “Hip Reaction Collection” you can buy from the Nook Stop in Resident Services. It was well worth the 2700 Nook Miles I spent to purchase it! The “Hip Reaction Collection” gave me nine new emotes to use! They include emotes you see your villagers doing all the time, but couldn’t do until today such as sitting down, sniffing (which your villagers use for the numerous flowers around the island), working out, and much more! They also threw in other really fun emotes, such as the ability to “take a picture” with your Nook Phone!
Another new thing you can buy through the Nook Stop is the “Top 6 Stylish Hairstyles” for 1800 Nook Miles. They bring in six new hairstyles including an afro! So if afros are your thing, you need to go and buy the “Top 6 Stylish Hairstyles” now!
Tom Nook now offers to expand your storage for those of you who have finished expanding your house. I guess he was just too greedy and figured he needed another way to rake in the money. He doesn’t even offer a loan this time for the expanded storage. When you want to expand your storage, you have to pay 500,000 bells UPFRONT. But Tom Nook says, “…that’s a small price to pay for the peace of mind you’ll get from having all that extra space”. I don’t know if that’s totally true, but okay dude. Anyways, if you are one of those people who has a crowded house because you ran out of storage space, save up that money!
In the update trailer Nintendo released on November 17th, we were also told about the Turkey Day and Toy Day events! On November 26th, Franklin the Turkey will come and cook a feast with us! I love cooking with my husband in real-life so being able to cook with Franklin in Animal Crossing will be so fun! Especially since you don’t get to cook food normally in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Toy Day will happen on November 24th and Jingle the black-nosed reindeer will visit us! On that day we will be tasked with helping Santa deliver his presents. So make sure you play Animal Crossing on November 17th and November 26th so you don’t miss these events!
Also, I don’t know who else noticed this, but Luna can now take us to random Dream Islands without a Dream Address! If you look in your mailbox, you’ll see she’s sent a letter announcing this update! And sure enough if you go into Dream-mode, she’ll tell you to say, “Surprise Me” if you want to go to a random Dream Island. This is a super fun way to explore new islands without needing a Dream Address! I’m excited to see where Luna takes me!
